Has anyone installed a Techart Type II Turbo Bumper on a 996?

I am very insterested in installing a Tech Art Type II turbo front bumper onto my 1999 C2. I have already purchased the 2002 headlights and fenders. Thanks for any help.

Lots of the TT and C4S guys have it, I have yet to see one on a 99-01 996... There was a guy I spoke to in LA that makes a replica of the Techart Bumper. He said if he had a donor 99-01 he could make a mold to fit. You wouldn't have to update with 02 headlights and fenders. To bad I lost his number

I love the 2002 up headlights, so I did not mind buying the fenders and headlights to change the look. I am just wondering if anyone else has tried the conversion on the 2002 narrowbody C2?

See Henry (wholesale) or Eric (eride996)'s cars

I believe that both have the TA bumper on their cars.

i have the real techart on my car that i paid $3700 for, had they made the knockoff when i purchased mine i would definitely have the TA fake bumper. i have seen it and it is almost as goods as the real deal, i mean there both just composite glass, who cares where it's made. i would definitely contact Dan or Alan from Speed Gallery 818-766-2321, he has the nicer version. there are 2 guys making it in LA one of which is really poor.

rwdrifter,
when doing the conversion, you will also need trays and special washer/bolts for elevation $75 each side, and new wiring harnesses which are $180 each. the conversion is simple, but requires more parts they you may think.
