Does anyone have an aftermarket alarm installed in thier 996? If so, which one is the best to get?

 

None....the factory alarm is great, and why go through all the crazy stuff to install it and hack up the wiring.....Not much an aftermarket alarm can do that the factory one wont...operates locks, roof, motion detector...and it just plain works...no drama.

 

agreed- the factory alarm is very good. although no shock sensor, which would have helped me out with finding the ******* that backed into my front bumper yesterday... my freshly black painted bumper, now ruined / cracked paint.

It was a fairly good hit, so you know the other person knows they did something to my car but chose to drive off anyway. Nice.
I was very close by my car at the time, and would have heard the alarm if it had gone off.
