I think it would look good on a 996....on a Boxster it looks front heavy. Maybe they should find a 996 pic as most with a 996 dont wanna "imagine" how its gonna look on their car and to be honest, dont wanna compare it to a Boxster.

Haha, that actually works pretty good!

I'm curious about it in black though.. In yellow, there are just too many lines, way too busy for my tastes.. I'm thinking that a lot of that will be hidden in the darker colors, and might actually look hot.

I guess if you do that, you can imagine the rest of the car too! It would be simple to put one on a 996 as they look very different from the doors back. They also have different proportions, so it looks front heavy to me on a 986...on a 996, it would PROBABLY look ok, but its hard to IMAGINE what that front looks like with a 996 rear and see if it looks front heavy, or the proportions look ok....that was my point....

Nice piece. I have to admit though. It doesn't look quite right without the lights on the front above the large air intakes. Are you just trying to keep the cost down or are the lights an option?

I would imagine the cost of the factory lights and then the wiring of them into the 996 wires would be my concern. Since those are the fog lights and turn signals, it would have to be spliced into the 996 harness, unless you just wanted the lights there for the look and not working....

I guess I would just prefer to have it molded smooth or add the lights. It just looks weird to have the indentation for no reason.
