New member with question

Hi,

I read this forum since I purchased my Porsche. I came from Slovenia and two years ago I made my dream come true. I bought 2 years old Carrera 2. Since then I made few mods and I cant stop modding. Now I have another idea. Install blend from 4s type. Now I need measures from this blend and I hope someone here is so friendly and help me in this case.

Best regards,
Kras

I have a 996 C4S and can help you with measurements. What do you need?

The blend is 33 3/8" x 3 7/8" x 1/4". But it is a very specific part. Better to use masking tape. Cover the area between the break lights to the height of the break lights. Then peel off the tape for your template. You will need to make the blend much thinner than the stock piece since the stock C4S engine cover has recessed mounting areas for two sided tape, and a non-C4S engine cover does not. Then you have to match the convex surface of the engine cover.

Have you considered using stock parts?

Hi Ric,

Thanks for measurements. I know it would be difficult since 4s has another lid. Just received pictures from another user and I think rear turbo bumper
conversion was really easy compared to this. Can you please send me a photo from engine lid where it close, as I marked in the attachment.

My mail is : kras.maier@yahoo.de

Best regards,
Kras
