Found a picture of the Ruf Duck Tail -- can anyone p-shop out the larger black wing on top?

 

I think it looks pretty cool. If anything, it's probably just a little too extreme in the angle, and goes up a little too high. I've attached a photo of a Ruf 997...I think if they can do a wing similar to that one without the large black portion, that would be just right.

 

It's a period piece. It looks okay on the older cars, certainly stuff much older than 993's. Totally out of place on a modern porsche.

I'm not sure which is uglier...the wing or the tacked on fenders?

 

...the fenders are uglier...at least the wing is nostalgic (in some sort of way, to someone, I'd guess, not me...maybe the wing is uglier).

 

I´ve also been looking for Ducktail fitting a 996. A cool retro look as well as a homage to the old RS, in my eyes. But very few people seem to agree with me on this... :-)

I know two places to get a Ducktail:
1. RUF (surely first class quality but extremely expensive)
2. Getty Design in the US. (quality unknown to me, but $699 isn´t bad)

I don't know about the duck tail wing...looks fishy to me.If want to go old school,go with the whale tail wing IMO.

Yeah I always liked the ducktail spoilers also. Some of these big-*** wings just look ridiculous.

Anyway here's a quick and dirty of the orange RS without the black wing.

 

Looks absolutely sick!!! I'm surprised that this mod isn't done more often!!
