I originally shared your opinion on this part....but you own a porsche and because of this everything will cost more money.....after biting the big one and adding it to my stocker...it definitely helps add more zoom zoom factor...
Maybe another group buy can get the prices down....I was part of the first one.

Still worth it. Just watch the torque on the TB bolts.....easy to strip.
What are the torque spec's?

Intake Plenum

Anyone here have an old on they are not using for a 3.4 liter? Is there a difference for e-gas or non?

I just got mine in the mail today, but i didn't come with bolts. I didn't buy it directly from RSS, I got it through a group buy from RPM. So I called RSS and they will be sending out shorter bolts today. I talked to mike over a RSS, he's been helping me out a lot. Good guy...

Does the plenum require an ECU reflash to achieve the claimed 25 or so hp?

I bought mine in the first group buy from RSS great people to work with. I installed mine myself it took at the most and hour because I took my time didn't want to brake something that would really cost me money!

I have run my car on the track three times this year one without and the other two with the plenum and it made a noticeable difference in performance with like modded cars except they didn't have the plenum and I pulled them each every time on the straights.

The cost is related to R&D people don't want to pay always trying to rip off the guy that had the idea that did the work.

No you don't need the ECU flash but that is another great mod as well that has a noticeable response inprovement in the car.

I installed my plenum today, took just about an hour and a half. Not too challenging of a DIY, just had to work the end boots around the plenum like you would a tire on a rim. Probably saved myself a couple hundred bucks too. But I do need the shorter bolts, anyone catch the correct size? I'm gonna head out to find some now. Tues. the AP exhaust goes on!

Just be careful when you torque them down. Very easy to strip the threads.

Curious as to why Porsche would not incorporate that design into their stock car! Also, the price is what the market will bear. IF it does what it says I WILL buy one!

SCed the 3.4, the power is even more linear with it, very smooth, predictable power, great fun at the track.
