Well, yes it is hard to explain. I personally didn't drive the car, but this particular one was a tiptronic (1 of 2 in the country as far as I know) so from what the tech told me the bottom end was somewhat diminished by the auto-box, however he said the car pulled quite hard on the top (can only rev it up to 4500rpm for break-in period). And naturally we don't drive the customer's cars very hard - just enough to make sure they run properly.

thanks for the response ERIK. i was thinking of adding the blower to my car as well. todd makes good stuff from my personal experience with his products, but forced induction on a engine is a big mod. just looking for some opinions from actual people doing the work and testing. not people putting these things on so they can say the have a 450 some HP. looking to actually put this thing to work. quality looks A+ from the photos if there is anything you could add in comments please PM me.

got the car back yesterday. some delays on all sorts of parts upgrades as you can see below.. Pss9's WOW... car handles great. Love my new Avus Wheels a 3" rear lip on a C2. looks like a turbo setup.

Supercharger feels reel good so far. Recommended not to exceed 5000 rpm for first 300 miles. by the end of the weekend ill post photos and some more reports on power as i break it in. but first feelings are good. CEL light cam on at 80 miles. Ill follow EVO's suggested fix for that to reset and see how it goes..

my clutch rattles a bit, like benlj at idle. cant here it with stereo on low volume. but i like the lighter flywheel, clutch setup so far. i feel like im a little sloppy with it but i guess ill get smoother over the next few days. i have 120miles on the SC so far..

James keep us posted. The ideia of dropping a supercharger into my 996 have crossed my mind, but I had a blown Turbo Boxster few years ago, and it made me believe that using forced induction on a 996 atmo base engine is asking for possible reliability problems. But all this reports I read about supercharging, are making me dream with +400Hp under my foot.
Another desadvantage for me, is that I´m in Europe, so Todd would have to send his Techs here. We talked about it and he said it could be possible, but than, if I had a cell light coming on, or any other kind of problem, it would be difficult for me to solve due to natural distance. For you it´s only a matter of going down the road and Todd may solve your problems, but being in Europe is anoter story.

Anyway, I still think the supercharger will put some stress on the engine, and they are not build to sustain such stress. Of course it will depend on the kind of use and way of driving the thing, but when you spend such money to have 100Hp more to play with, you have to feel it everytime you have the car on your hands. My turbo Boxster lasted 40000Km and than blew, but I have to say that those 40000Km were a dream

Now, I read all over the net how good the supercharger is , and the great amount of power it provides, i start to have bad thoughts again
