99 C4 is infamous around these parts
Question Has anybody added an on-board Computer?

I have a 99 C4 that did not come with a onboard computer. Recently I was on ebay and someone is selling the collar which includes a onboard computer switch. In the description he also claims that for cars that did not come with a onboard computer, one can be added.

Has anybody done this before?? or even thaught about it??

Yup. I did it on my 2001. Not the easiest thing to do. One caveat -- I soldered my VW wires rather than crimping them. I would highly recommend soldering to avoid future problems. I've seen crimp connectors come apart too many times -- and you don't want to have to re-do the whole thing just to fix a bad crimp.
