Quote: Mike,
I have not even started on the interior yet. The entire interior is going to be taken out and replaced with carbon fiber. I am replacining almost every interior part with carbon.

Is it possible to change the interior from 996 to 997? If so is that what ur planning on doing?

I am pretty sure it could be done with tons of $$ and some hard work.

Call me crazy I actually like the interior of the 996. I also felt the 996 interior was more sporty.

The 997 interior is very plush. It takes away from the sportiness of the Porsche.

Working with DB Carbon and Ma Carbon I have almost every interior piece replaced in black carbon fiber.

i had a quick question. looking at both the 996 and 997 i realized the hood on the 997 comes down further than the 996. when doing the conversion did u have to get a new hood too? or did the 996 hood fit with the new body panels and it was just that the fenders and bumper of the 997 make it so that the hood extends into the front bumper?

Bavarian,
I replaced everything to 997. That means 996 to 997 conversion fenders, 997 bumper, 997 hood, 997 lights, 997 bracket supoorts.

In the rear 997 rear quarters, 997 rear glass, 997 rear side glass.

oh okay, nice must've been a lot of work. I love the way it looks and major props to you for undergoing such a project. Even the blue beast was simply remarkable.

i guess if u hadnt changed the hood it would come out looking like this

I think all the conversions do not look good at all. I hate when they just graft 997 headlights.

I rather have every part changed so it looks clean. The hamann one looks like a hybrid and you can only use their front bumper. Plus the 997 hood just looks so much sleeker than the 996 hood.
