i raced S65AMG today with my 997TT evo god bless you guys
WOW That was not even close.(mashallah)
THe SL65 is use-less unless you are driving in a str8 line. AMG hasn't clearly got the handling down on that car. Traction Control is a joke. Even if you take ESP off its still on.
***Long Live The 997TT***

I thought so too...
but my thoughts are it is an old **** 4 door Benz, The guy probably didn't know he was racing... which looks evident by the vehicle directly behind the Porsche... Seriously lame... I'd expect something better... and what i hate more than anything is a tuned out vehicle going up against a stock vehicle... it is like putting a radio flyer up against a Suzuki

I have had a 996GT2 with Protomotive tuning, a 07 997TT stock, my brother had a SL600 with a Renntech chip, a stock CL65 so I have seat time in the P cars and the AMG 65 monsters.
Yalmutawa nice video.
I would love to see what a 997tt modded or stock go up against a SL65 stock from a roll though.

I dunno guys, SL65 will probably take the 997TT from 30mph+ roll. They can trap very consistent 120mph+ in the 1/4 mile stock and 127mph with ecu, while running high 10's no problem. With AWD and 460lb-ft torque, the Porsche will not pull nearly as hard as RWD and 738lb-ft torque... especially at 80mph+ when weight doesn't play as big of a role.
BTW, stop quoting 0-60 times, they don't mean anything and are 100% determined by traction. SL65 will do 0-60 in 2.9 seconds on slicks. Lotus elise can do 0-60 in 4.2 seconds stock and it has 190hp... does it mean its as fast as SL65? Of course Porsche wins 0-60 on street tires, since its AWD and the engine is pushing down on the rear wheels.

I have a Kleeman in a SL55 that is supposed to have 550hp, it is very, very quick but it doesn't hold a candle to the 997 with the EVO 700 kit.
I have not driven the SL65, so I don't know how much quicker the 65 is compared to the modified 55.

the class has been unbelievable, I wish I had done it years ago!!
Spend all day tomorrow in a Formula Ford.
If you can work it into your schedule, DO IT!
We spend all day in the Formula Fords, and then they will let me take the TT on the track.
SL65 is in a totally different league than SL55. SL55 is fairly slow, there is not even one stock or modded SL55 that has run 11's in the 1/4 mile. Unfortunately, low 12's @ 117-118mph is about as fast as SL55 is capable of...

PIR, Bondurant....jeez must be nice Dave!
