Seriously, Ruf pride themselves on being able to deliver you the car you want (within limits of course, and depending on how much you're willing to spend).

While at Pfaffenhausen, i saw an RT12 that had a rear spoiler that you could raise and lower, ala 996 Turbo. Why would you want this? I'm not sure, but the owner wanted it, so he got it.

I also saw a lime green Boxster with purple leather interior and steering column mounted paddle shifters replacing the standard wheel mounted tiptronic buttons. Car was owned by a lady. I didn't feel the car, but hey, if that's what the customer wanted, that's what she got...

^Indeed. I believe the 1st tiptronic 996 RTurbo was delivered to a german lady entrepeneur by the name of Gelly. The car was on the cover of Excellence magazine a few years ago, it was a blue on grey narrow-body RTurbo cab tip.

I didn't read the link, but if it's a RUF vin, it's a RUF, and definitely not a Porsche. If it's a conversion, then it is a Porsche.

Yeah, that's true.

Everyone has their own style and if it makes them happy, who cares what everyone else thinks. Sports cars and other luxury items should be purchased to make the purchaser happy.

I love that RUF will do just about anything to ensure the customer's satisfaction. They truly are second to none.

That's a very good reason, I never thought about that.
