I've had black and will never go back. It is beautiful when clean but if you are **** about things, it will drive you crazy. Black is not a hobby but a "ball and chain". Guards is awesome for a sports car and it looks great on the TT. My fav is silver, GT or Arctic. Silver is a classic sport car color that looks great, shows the lines of the car better than any other color, and is easy to maintain. Silver is a beautiful color on the 997TT. Silver is timeless and looks great for years.

Red all the way

My next car will be meteor but you did not ask about that color

I had a black M3 and atlas grey (black blue whatever) 997tt and I have to say they look amazing for literaly 20 minutes untill the dust settles and the lines go away... I will get black when I have a person I can pay to wash my car every day...

I just picked up my GT silver/black 997 TT Cab on Friday. I love it, but I like silver cars. I had a 996 TT Cab in Artic silver. The GT silver is much richer. One of the problems I have with black is that all of the details of the vents disappear visually. I love the contrast of the vents on a lighter color. The bottom line is you really can't make a bad choice. BTW, this car is incredible, a totally different animal than the 996 TT.

As much of a silver tone fan I am, well sha'll I say "was", I would rule it out on any upcoming purchase of mine. My past car's have been metallic silvers and grey's, love them to death but on car's like these it's just too damn simple/plain unless MODDED IMO.

My choice would be Guards Red, i'm loving Guards and Speed Yellow/Cobalt Blue, black is so damn sexy too, tough choice!

Cobalt Blue

Being from NY, I am partial to black. German cars wear black well.

Black is so kool (as a museum piece) but anything else it is a nightmare. If you want to drive it, get some other color. Even red won't show the markings anywhere near as badly.

I have a black bmw and it is nearly impossible to have clean for more than 10 min at a time. Swirl marks are very difficult to steer clear of and eventually you will have them. Silver is BY FAR the easiest to keep clean. However, imo silver doesn't have the special something this car deseves. Silver has little soul for such a soulfull car. That is why I picked Atlas Grey. Looks like black at night, has an awesome metallic grey shimmer during the day and is easier to live with than black.

good luck

Had a black 993 and a guards red 996TT. Red was fun & easy to maintain, but to me, nothing beats a clean black Turbo, and even more so on the 997.
