Another "Wicked" first... uh... vomit.
Every state is different...not all states have the 75% rule...in fact, most are 33.33 or greater. Porsche OEM parts are so expensive, that when the list is created for parts, it OFTEN exceeds the depreciated value of the car..thus the salvage....
Also Dupont IS a a for sale editorial, however, they are known for dealing, showcasing only the best......ask them yourselves. I am not Wicked fan, employee or owner... I have as much or more (7 Porsche's) experience than anyone here...what I WAS saying is though the cover car in questions was gaudy, from the car I have been in FROM them, the work was top notch...and looked as good as factory to me (especially paint)..... Dupont most likely had 10-12 cover takers, they pick..and I assure you, they are not going to showcase a known problem. Wicked So Cal BBB record is good too, so things would say.....
They find donor cars, salvage typically, and do their thing.... LOTS of car companies do that..Factory 5, a little outfit out of the UK, AC, Shelby still does, etc... nothing new here.
Was just making sure that someone who actually had seen, touched, driven one of these cars got a comment in...anyone can zap it from 10k feet.... but take the crap work off the list...their work is NOT crap...at least from what I have seen and heard.

salvaged car will never drive the same no matter how well it was being repaired. repairing bill 33% or 75% of the value of the car i couldn't care less. even if the car worth 110~120k before the crash(it's a 997 turbo cab!), 33% later that means the damage still cost like 40k, that's not some little fender-bender no matter how expensive porsche oem parts are. not to mention that horrible craftsmanship inside the car. just look at those gaps between the window switches and the door trim as an example, and those stitching, it's obvious those people who worked on the car have no interest and passion for this car whatsoever

Lots of effort in that one. Not my taste for sure.
I want to know if anyone can tell me for sure if the 997tt nose (fenders, hood & bumper)can bolt to a 996tt. From the sound of the advertisement it was a direct bolt on. Just curious cause 996tt are cheap now (but IMHO ugly in the front) and if I could marry the 997 front to a 996 without to much effort I would consider buying one. No haters please.

That is just really bad.

It seems every few months, we post yet another abomination from eBay. I'm not sure why we're so fascinated by these rebuilds.
