Don't worry, my hands/lips are sealed. Nobody will find out where that magical road is.

Haven't been on it since July of last year.

How about a PM from one road lover to another?

Wish we had that sign in FL....

Just north of the GG Bridge in SF into Marin and Sonoma County are some great backroads... from Lucas Valley all the way to up Mendocino. Just watch out for the occasional errant bovines and Lance Armstrong's owning the road.

great pics bsm!

i have to admit i miss that area! as you said there are hundreds of miles all throughout that region. both west of the cities towards the ocean or east of the cities towards the vineyards.

the full loop could look something like this...start at vallejo take 29 north all the up and around clear lake, continue north on 20 to willits then continue on 20 west to the ocean. youll end up between mendocino and fort brag. then follow 1 south all the way back to the bay area!

And Long Island too - it sucks here for driving. Traffic, cops, and crappy roads.

I haven't been out this way for 2+ years, but one of my favorite drives was the 152 between Gilroy and Watsonville. It dumps you out on the 1 at Monterey Bay and then you can go North to Santa Cruz or South to Monterey and then through Big Sur. The drive just continues to get better as you go.
