Durametric

Does anyone have any experience with the Durametric interface? I was planning on using this to clear my airbag and seatbelt codes after switching to 996 GT3 seats...I wasn't planning on hooking up the wiring for the belts or airbag.

Is it capable of clearing out the codes?

haudimal is infamous around these parts
I have the Durametric cable/software. You can delete the error messages but you can NOT program anything. I think this is not very helpful for you because once you delete the error message it will be back after you restart your car.

Only your OPC with their PIWIS System can do what you need.

The Durametric works quite well, but for the 997TT it´s not that great right now because the feature "actual values" doesn´t work for the 997TT actually, only for the na 997.

But there will be a software upgrade in the near future for the new 997TT DME. (they told me...)

It can clear codes, but it will not change coding. In your case you will need a PWIS in order to recode the car to not look for the side airbags in the seats.
