Trying to help here, in case you don't already know: I am an over the top photography nuts
, and yes the highlights are blown (overexposure) in your pictures, at least as viewed on the web on this monitor at work I am using. It's as if the camera is set to give correct exposure to the dark glass of your car and as a result some white parts of the car lose details.
Check the camera settings: There might be some options as far as exposure setting (spot vs. evaluative, etc.), play around and see if one is better than the other. When you take pictures, try to half press the button while pointing the camera at the white paint, then recompose and shoot.
