Help with a quick question.

  • I live in Florida. 70 Deg today.
  • Car has been sitting for two weeks.
  • Started her up today (no smoke), backed up and drove off slowly in first.
  • As the car hit 3000 RPM in first, it was like hitting the rev limiter hard.
  • I clutched in and did it again. No problem from then on....
It scared the hell out of me as I was not expecting it. Has this happened to anyone? Any ideas?

Thanks in advance guys.
