Awsome plate
Porsche is more of a sports car brand (or used to be), meaning performance through curves just as important, if not more so, than straight line performance. AMGs tend to be one trick ponys, highway monsters.
Wow, they are getting crazy strict with the plates we are allowed here in Ontario, I am surprised he could get that..... absolutely anything to do with racing/encouraging racing is not allowed, it is ridiculous

My modified SLK55 AMG (BRABUS B55S) is as fast as any car I have driven in the low RPM range and handles incredibly well. I have both an AMG and a 997TT and love them both for different reasons. I think that AMG does a great job of making these cars unique and perform at the highest level. With all due respect, I wouldn't knock AMG too much.
Just my opinion FWIW.

Yeah...I know the argument about the slushboxes for AMGs...but that CLK DTM AMG definately carved up the track.
Not arguing that AMGs aren't monsters, it's why they are such highway fun and probably the reason for the plate. Not sure how many DTMs are running around Toronto though, way more SLKs, S63s, S65s, E55s and E63s and various SLs and no one should be arguing they are sports cars in the turbos league. Sportauto tested the SL65 at 8.14 on Nurburgring; SLK Black Series 8.14 as well. Now as for comparing modded cars, there is a modded M3 kicking a Zonda F's time so mods definitely change the story.
Bottom line, generally, AMGs killer in the straight line... not so much in the curves.
I'm done.

If I'm not mistaken that guy used to hang out on E46fanatics and had an E46 M3 which originally had that plate on it. Looks like he upgraded quite nicely and kept the plate.
Again if I'm not mistaken.
