Airbag Light Illuminated

Just realized that my airbag light is on after the B&M Short Shifter install. Did this happen to anybody else?

Don't tell me I need to take it to the Stealership...

TurboBill is infamous around these parts
My airbag light came on after a bilstein coilover install. It stayed on for 4+ weeks and would not go away by disconnecting the battery cable. A friend/local mechanic had to take it to the dealership and connect the car to that special computer that can read fault codes. It cleard the airbag light instantly. I was not charged by the dealership, it took less than 5 minutes. I believe, but dont quote me, the Porsche mechanic said something about airbag light issues may be related to moving the passenger seat all the way forward.

My air bag light came on after I installed my SSK also. I think it turned on because I cycled the car on when the center consol was unplugged. I had my local shop which has the computer clear it. It was very quick and they didn't charge me.

Yes, that will do it, any time a part of any major system is 'unplugged' and somebody turns the key, it will send out various fails. When they did my clear bra, they took the headlights out and somebody turned the key on, I had a annoying 'headlight leveler fail' light, the dealer had to fix it (free).
As far as reading and clearing codes, Craftsman has a nice portable pocket OBD II code reader that erases codes very easily, on sale last week 66$. I've used it a few times, works great.
