totally beautiful car, I've never been a big fan of the go fast, bright colors but that is one fine looking turbo. Looking forward to pictures of the car with the new wheels on.

 

love the car, but man do the grills need to be painted BLACK! looks like a cheap respray

 

If you look very, very closely, you can see the orange ghost flames that have been airbrushed all over the exterior of the car.

Is that a '74 911 SC? Original color? Would love any details...

 

Was an original Signal Orange 911S, 1975. PO had installed drilled vented rotors on all corners. I had Fordahl Motorsports do their vintage track prep for te suspension and related goodies. Had California shop do a 3.0 liter big bore kit on the original cases with GE80 cams, Webers, etc... Short gears. Had real Fuchs on all corners, 8's I believe. Brake ducting, etc... Billet bearing carrier plate for the trans, coarse cut ARP studs + hardware, stainless valves, double springs.... etc. etc. etc.

Car was insane quick but too raw for daily use. I thought it was the best sounding car at Pacific Raceways. Sold it for 1/3'rd of invested. BOT a 993 C4S in Speed Yellow instead, then the current 996 Turbo. Still miss the Orange beast. A BMW guy who worked at Boeing purchased it from me. He had lusted after a Signal Orange (1975 amazingly) 911S since childhood.

 

Good stuff, sounds like was a great car - glad that it rests w/ as passionate an owner.

 

i love the color on that car
