My new 997TT w/Twin 30R's...
I would go as far as saying that if someone actually comes up with one... a working fully functional one- it will open up the market the way AEM opened it to the Supra's, Evo's, etc.
I will bet my money that we will be still waiting 2 years from now for a stand alone that actually does all you mentioned and more... but that's just my opinion.
I keep harping on the fact that its 2008 and still no go... Thus I will laugh my *** off is someone from the DSM world actually makes one. With that said, after discussing this with my tuner... he said its a real uphill battle... especially the Motec( he tried it). Motec does not like vario cams....
BTW, my friend has a 900 rwhp P car with 2 step running a stock ECU.

?Hats off to Tym
I know more then you think
but I bet he still has a way to go especially with all the lights on the dash...
Working with Todd may speed up the process... if it hasn't already.
With that said, I will laugh my *** off again LOl if and when a DSM specialist( from what I read that's his past history) figures it out leaving all the rest in the dust....
When it is available I will be the first one to congratulate him... and probably even end up getting one. I have been arguing about a stand alone long before Switzer was even mentioned on this site.
The 2 year comment I made was more towards another's post about using the Motec... something that I know from Todd and VRalexander who had one on his car that it's simply not worth the problems involved dealing with vario cams.
looking forward to some positive results,
markski

Actually you don't know as much as you think. Tym is not updating Todd on everything.
Regardless, I'm not sure why you feel the need to be so critical? I hope it's not because Todd isn't the one developing it?
I have an educated guess as to the outcome of this journey. It's a good write up and if it works at the end the fruit of Tym's labor will be plentiful.
No I am not critical because Todd is not the developer.... what do I get from arguing? I'm not on Protomotive's time sheet. I actually think Todd can improve on some things... some of which were screwed up on my car.... But the one thing I can almost guarantee is that Todd will be involved more then one way if he isn't already... believe it or not. That is my opinion.
For now I'm unsubscribing from this thread because my comments may be too critical and I do not want to PO anyone.
good luck,
mark

No, my intake is only limited by the hole on each side of the car which allows the piping to enter into the engine compartment from the turbos. I have the largest hand made intake available. Which, would also be the limiting factor on the set up you are refering to as well. The turbo intakes I am utiziling are almost 4 inches and have a pathway from fresh air to the turbos of less than a foot. So, I quess I am confused about what you are refering to in your post.
Sincerely, Robert
