I guess forged internals + 1.5bar on those GT30's would be enough for that Nitrous'ed ZO6

bolt-on Z's smoked already with Proto upgraded VTG's 997tt turbos

Then if that's the case, no need for GT30's

Interesting run --I have some questions :

1) What was the climate ? I see you are from nearby and this weekend was very hot and particularly humid .I find that the Turbos peform best on a crisp cool days with low humidity.

2) The Nitrous Vette --IMO that's cheating . Did you run the vette without it?

Zo6 are fast. There are several here in H town and you better be ready! Hmmm almost every car in H town are bottle feed except P cars, hence we are at a disadvantage. BTW great videos!
Cheers

I would say it was about 75 degrees that night and humid since it just rained 4-5 hours before the run.

The 1st ZO6 I raced with the cams ran the Nitrous guy off the bottle and he beat him by 2 cars. So off the bottle my car would beat the Nitrous vette quite easily.

Thanks for the positive comments guys.

A number of you stand corrected on the car lengths of distance on each race.

The 1st race against the Cammed ZO6, he runs 10s @ 130-132. I beat him from 45-150 (where he let off the gas) by 4-5 cars.

"A car length" Means when the nose of the vette is completely lined up with the end tip of my bumper this is deemed "1 car". If 1 car can fit between my bumper and his nose thats "2 car lengths". The distance by 160 mph would have been about 5-6 cars if he stayed on it. The Vettes dont usually like to run past 160 since their next gear is a gas economy gear and isnt 1:1 and is horrible for acceleration. Thats why these Zs let off in 4th right after they hit 160 every time.

Even though my car trapped 134.5 it really pulls like a car thats traps about 136-137 when engaged in gear. The 134.5 came about because of the LONG delays I am experiencing between shifts where the boost has to rebuild. If I reduce this delay, my traps would be higher and thus pull a bit better against this cammed zo6. Look at video closely and you will see how long my car pauses between shifts in the cammed Z run. This delay really hurts my car.

Protomotive sent me some stronger springs for my Blow Off Valves to hold some more boost in the system between shifts. Hopefully this will help out. I'll try them out and let you guys know what happens.

2nd race: Nitrous ZO6 - 65-160. Vette hits the breaks once it hits 160. (Again these guys refuse to run past 160 since their 5th gear is horrible for drag racing). I tried to tell him to run into 5th a bit to 180-200 but he made up an excuse to not do it (probably didnt want to take a chance in losing the run). Im sure I would have made up alot of ground there wether I would make up that ground or not who knows........but nevertheless, most races dont go up to that speed anyway. Anyhow the NOS Z took me by about 4-5 cars. He runs 9s @ 142 ish.

To beat this guy I would need to raise my boost from 1.25/1.3 bar to about 1.8 bar. Definetely would need forged internals to run that kind of boost.

Keith

I was never catching the Nitrous ZO6. His pull started to slow a bit towards the end of the run. It may have changed in my favor if he kept going - but he refused to go past 160.
