R&T: GT-R vs ZO6 vs 911
haha hater man. the only way the GT-R could be an imitation 911 is if Nissan copied from the 911 and the gt-r would be rear engine if that was the case.
Nissan didnt need to copy porsche in anyway to out do it.
So the GT-R is far from an imitation. but if that makes you feel better at the end of the day. say what you need to. hey, as i said to heavy. if you want to believe the sky is blue go ahead. but everyone disagrees with you.
as quote. "the GT-R is the best 911 ever"

Nissan bought and USED a 911 Turbo (both the 996 and 997 versions) when they developed the car. Both cars have AWD, both cars have 480hp.
Do you think that is a coincidence? Every car comparison and media press release is so closely related to the Porsche Turbo, it's sad. Nissan just rode the Porsche all the way.
And, trust me, I'm not "hating" on your Nissan. When you finally own one and drive one, your words will have more substance. For now, you're being a fanboy and a mag racer, since you have ZERO experience as someone who has driven the new GTR and ZERO experience as a Porsche owner.
I've owned all types of cars before with no bias, and have driven previous generations of your beloved GT-R. I can tell you from experience that it is not as engaging, and not as fun. It was a fast car that was easily modified. The interior was ****ty and so was the build quality. I had zero interest in importing one. Again, I'd rather have the REAL 959 or a 993 Turbo.
When the GTR gets here, I'll test drive one and see how it makes me feel. If I like it, hey I'll buy one. The fact that it is a 70,000 dollar Nissan with a user interface screen designed by Gran Turismo video game designers doesn't initially spell out class and heritage to me, but whatever. Nor does the ownership experience of bringing it to an old Nissan dealership/service facility.
I don't think we need to worry about Porsche loosing money. The Panamera will only fatten their coffers all the more. And, that is because they know what customers want. Suv's and sedans built by Porsche. It will be intersting to see what the Panamera does. That is probably a better comparison to the GT-R. It will certainly have the bells and whistles and give us a true 2+2. It is precisely because Porsche know's what their customer wants that they are so rich.
haha anyone that buys a Panamera shoudl be slapped. that thing is hideous

i have Driven my boys CGT plenty of times. and its scary. I rather have driving aids. its nothing to put that car into a tree.
and i dont get where you are going with the Carrera GT coment. people want to feel safe in their cars not like they are going to crash if they hit the gas pedal just a little too hard.
if i want that i dont need to get a CGT i can just drive a z06
as i said you can try and use the "anolog is better" rationale b/c you are upset the GT-R out performs the 911 TT but its doesnt change the fact that the the 911 TT has been considered great by those such as yourself b/c of its '"driving aids"

The point of bringing up the Carrera GT is this: The Carrera GT is Porsche's halo car that stands for everything that is Porsche. It is their supercar, and they INTENTIONALLY did NOT include driver aids (despite knowing how to do so as proven in the old 959). Porsche does NOT want to include driver aids, and neither does its drivers/customers. They are forced to now due to litigation and the evolution of their customers from Mercedes and BMW.
This is all pure fact, not defensive comments from your so-called "experience" as a worldly, knowledgeable, car enthusiast.
Seriously, it's a good thing GTR fans are like you and like driver aids. Stick with your GTR's, Lexus', Mercedes, and BMW's. Those cars drive you around. I prefer to own cars that are DRIVEN by me.
If you use your brain and look at the GT-R's story, then you KNOW it is an imitation, just like the Z was and is.

maybe you should brush up on your definitions. and see what "imitation" means
if the GT-R was that, it would have copied from porsche when the GT-R couldnt be anymore different from a 911.
but as i said, if that makes you feel better at the end of the day, say what you will
but be prepared to get laughed at when you say to someone the GT-R is a imitation 911 TT
matter of fact ill start right now,
Riceeater says "a cheaper imitation Porsche 911 Turbo at half the price, I'm sure it's a great car, but I prefer the original to the COPY"

hilar ious
get used to that, then be ready to answer the questions
what does imitation mean? what does it mean to copy?
haha
thats cool but lets see how many people looks at your car when sitting in the parking lot along side a GT-R. i bet the crowd stand aruond the GT-R
plus lets see whats happens at the track
but oh i forgot, its a porsche. thats all that matter. the badge is what makes it faster and looks better

You can argue that buyers not wanting driver's aids is a silly excuse for not producing cars with such, but that is precisely what I have heard from the Porsche crowd all along. All they want is enough to keep them out of trouble. All the talk I've heard about wanting to develop driving skills may have been lies, but I doubt it. There is a similar argument at the Cayman Club website. Us Caymanphiles harp that they need to stop handicapping the car because it is such a great platform from a handling standpoint, but the 911 guys will come back and argue that you can learn to exploit the characteristics of the rear engined car and use it to your advantage. The 911 fan loves the characteristics of the rear engined beast and take pride in mastering the car.
Sure you drove it.... and I'm sure you'd buy one if it weren't for the fact that it didn't have driver aids.

Don't care if I have a crowd around my car.
Don't care about badging.
I've offered a few laps at the track, you didn't bite...made up a bunch of excuses...bottom line...you don't own one. Oh yeah...but you had "seat time". Are you accepting now?
Same old 240ka.
Same old 240ka. All talk. All ego.

well the looks tell which car looks better to most people. and no i dont have a GT-R yet.
but me not owning one doesnt change the facts and outcome
The hype will die down in a few months and this current pretender to the throne will take it's place with all the other "also rans" over the past 60 years. There is no substitute. We shall see.

Please wikipedia imitation for us and prove to me and the rest of us how the GTR is a single independently developed car with the intention of being the world's best at what it does, without COPYING a benchmark.
I'm still waiting. You can put all the smiley faces you like, the fact of the matter is that you are WRONG.

which still doesnt change the fact that the cayman's platform is superior to the 911's.
i never knew harder to handle and control meant better
Was this your comeback? That all you got?

again brush up on your definitions of imitation and copy. you should know that is the 911 is rear engine and the GT-R is mid. that means that the GT-R and 911 are nothing alike. meaning far from imitation and mos def far from a copy

Again, YOU seem to be the one with the badge issue.
Porsche owners in general do not care about crowd pleasing and attention. It's the reason why we bought a 911. It's simple and doesn't scream for attention like a green Lambo or red Ferrari. If you want some attention, you should buy one of those.
