i dont know if your car has mods or what, but assuming both cars are stock the murci will win in a drag race, regardless of whether or not it's an lp640. 0-100 the cars are pretty close but at higher speeds the murci's extra hp and displacement results in pretty brutal acceleration. i've spent time in both cars at higher speeds.

What mods are on your car? A 997TT with a flash and exhaust should pull a regular Murci pretty easily.

Mods on my car are discussed on post number 10 of this thread . https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...d.php?t=124188

Interesting replies . I guess I would never know the outcome of a race which did not happen but I can say this --I had to let off the throttle going threw 2nd gear or my nose would have the Lambo bumper on attached .

The video's that Robert posted I cold not view as my home comptur programs would not open it after I saved it . I will try again to view them.

Well, according to what most have written (professionals) the 997TT does the sixty in 3.7, and it'll take an SE in the same distance 4.1 seconds. I'm not sure about the Super Leggergia (sp?) but it would be similar.

The Tip Turbo with Chrono however-.....enjoy it's sixty in 3.4!!

You need to race people that know how to drive LP640's. There is no way that you should be pulling on one.

That was the third Lambo he owned. I can not help it if nimrods buy Lambos and can not drive them. what should I do, just let him win becasue he spends $450,000 on a car? He$$ no, I am going to beat most of the cars I race because I know how to drive (regardles how fast the car is on paper). Paper does not race, people do.

Yours will so long as you had the Ba!!s to stay on the gas. I know one guy that will not let me win because he stands on the gas and shifts correctly. All of the other Lambo owners fail to pull.

If I am in the right gear and you are in the wrong gear, you lose. same goes for me too. If I am in the wrong gear, race over you win. If we are both in the right gear, you win race over.

The LP640 is very fast and the BEST sounding car on the market. Sounds like a Formula 1 engine.

I've never understood it... when people talk about how "knowing how to drive" helps them on highway pulls. You floor it and shift. This doesn't take much skill. I know how to drive, and it ain't gonna help me when a viper pulls up next to my 335.

I have tried with 2 different LP640s (hardtop and convertable) from a roll and kept pulling from both. Mind you im driving a STOCK 997TT ... i know it may be hard to beleive as i was surprises by the results untill i had the second try. they were from a 70 km/h roll that translates to about 40mph i guess ?
I agree, my cousin has an LP640 and whatever you have read or heard about it is not entirley true. I have raced him a couple times and off the line the turbo is quicker. You would only see the LP640 start pulling away above 120mph. As for the regular Murci, drove one and was very dissapointed on how slow the car was. Turbo would definitley take the Murci.

The Lambo will pull on top, like Shank said.

However it really depends who hits the throttle first. From a standing stop the 997TT will be quicker, after about 100 the LP begins to pull. From 120 on I have at times pulled on my buddies' LP, I have also pulled on him at about 160.

I have raced my friends LP in the 997TT and the LP will have more power at the top to pull away, but like I said before it depends on who hits the gas before. Also it depends on who has more *****. My friend just stands on the gas and keeps it there. I am a bit more apprehensive.

The LP is, however, much much more stable at high speeds. It also has better brakes. In my scenario both cars had Carbon Ceramic brakes.
