You have heard from the fastest guys on this forum and you know there opinions. AWE is a good company but they use an out of house tuning program.. they use GIAC. I would only buy from a company that does there OWN programs and tuning.
Good Luck
Robert

Good luck my friend. I knew you'd be selling soon and moving onto a true performance car. I agree with Frank that if you want speed, you should go with the 996 GT2 and turbo swap it. The 997 is still new and expensive...but I know you like to be riding in style so go for it bro!

We align ourselves with the best in the business. We don't make springs or shocks, so does that mean you should not buy suspensions from us either?
Here is a little history lesson for those that don't know. We were G.I.A.C.'s first authorized dealer and technical partner. We met Garrett when he was here on the East Coast attending med school, and Todd (A.W.E. President) was the go-to guy in the Philly area for VW performance work.
Garrett was very unhappy with the software that was currently available for his VW that he drag raced. Out of necessity he began to learn how to tune Bosch ecu's on his own to get what he needed for his own car.
The VW scene in Philly at that time was small so they met shortly after. Todd and Garrett hit it off immediately. Todd also saw that Garrett was clearly a talent and knew this was the future of German car performance. This sparked the purchase of our first Mustang Chassis Dyno.
Todd and Garrett would spend days, nights, and weekends tuning a variety of street and race cars. They learned a lot together, but more importantly we learned his style of "no shortcuts" tuning. This was the guy we wanted to work with! He insisted on programming as Bosch would. No manual boost controllers or add on band aids to get the desired result... Nothing has changed to this day.
After med school, Garrett moved back to the West Coast where he is originally from. At no point in time were we ever nervous about him not being local to us any longer. Why? Because the technology had advanced so much, he can tune remotely. We have the equipment needed to log whatever parameter he needs to see to do his job. Hell, he could be halfway around the world and could tune for us.
G.I.A.C. is not located in Irvine, CA. Their new facility has the same AWD Mustang Chassis Dyno that we currently have. Both purchased at the same time as a matter of fact.
Why this helps both parties is because 91 octane is the best they can get at the pump in Cali. So if we develop a product or turbo kit, it can be tuned for even the lowest grade of gas. Same thing happens here. If they develop new product, we can do the 93 octane testing for them.
Bottom line is just because a company does something themselves, does not make them the best at it. We don't claim to be software tuners. We make hard parts, turbo kits, and exhausts. That is where we excel. G.I.A.C. is the industry leader in software. United we are a potent combination.
Lets nop get off topic guys...we all have respsct for each other...
I need 997 TT only produced in 2007...no 2006...I found that some US 2007 car are actually produced in 2006...
