The Targa comes with a rear window that opens… now why not offer this as an option for people who want to use the rear end of their turbo or any other 911?

i dnt get the rear window thing on the targa .... whats the point ?

 

It makes it really easy to load stuff into the back of the car.

 

Also to clean the window / interior.

 

You see the Targa was designed with the golfer in mind… you can easily place your golf bag in the rear. Hence the opening rear window<O</O
YES the whole mechanism adds weight but also convenience, therefore why not leave it to the customer to pick one over the other.

 

Targa is based on the 'vert, so that was easy to do. If you look closey at the whole Tagra assembly, you can almost see the 'vert lines.

In the coupe, it would add weight, complexity and would reduce chassis strenght and increase flex.
