Excellent write-up and photos! I would love to take a road trip like that -- only need to convince the wife that I need to commune with the car despite my unpredictable schedule and lack of time to take a "real" vacation with her for a while. For the time being, I just need to live vicariously through you.

You're better off sending a PM to HUMMM 3 (Larry) since he's the one who planned this road trip. I was just along for the ride (drive). He'll be more than happy to share some of the roads we went on. Just avoid Orr Springs Road..that's all I can say!
