How much will that take it down? Have you driven one thats been dropped, im interested to hear how it effects ride and handling. I still want to use the car on occasional track days but i use it as a daily driver, so i don't want to go too harsh.

If you go the PSS10s vs the Damptronic system, dont you lose the PSM integration?

I just had my PSS10s and H&R sways installed today. I also have HRE P40 19s. I had the RoW suspension before and I can already tell, in the 40 miles I drove home from Sharkwerks, how big of a change these coilovers area. So much better ride and feels safer to me. Lowers it approx 1.25" from stock, and the RoW is supposedly only about a 1/4" lower than stock. I had no problem getting into my narrow driveway into my underground parking - I live in SF.

So far so good but everyone including Sharkwerks recommended these PSS10s for me as I am all street driving with maybe a track day once a year I would estimate.

Really appreciate the first hand report. (having lived in Tiburon all last year i know what your talking about when it comes to SF driving and parking!)

Am I right in thinking the PSS10s dont use the PSM system though? Have you got any photos of how it looks?

No problem. Tiburon eh? Not a bad place to shack up.

I am not sure about the PSM system. I am under the impression nothing has changed with regard to that from stock, but I am unsure I guess.

Plan to get some pics soon, maybe in front of my office where I took the last ones to compare the ride height. Hopefully by end of week. I will also be getting an alignment and maybe a corner balance by end of the weekend.

I've stayed in worse places I was on paradise drive. Made a few trips to the S car Go Porsche tuners in san rafael. I had a 997 S for the year i was over. That highway one route over to stinson is an awesome road.

I could be wrong on the PSM, its just the way bilstein reference the PSM on the damptronic option made me think that was the case. Yours is fully adjustable though isnt it?

Paradise Drive is a nice way to go... Love Stinson too. Great route out there.

I turn PSM off every time I get in the car so I guess I am not sure.

Yes, it is adjustable. 10 settings. Mine is set at 4 in front and 5 in rear per Alex. I know he really likes the PSS10s over the 9s...

on the 997 there is a sports suspension button which i always turn on, and maybe thats where the issue lies. I guess its a pointless button when you have that set up anyway, but i just wanted to be when it comes to warranty issues.

Hmm. Yeah that's a good question. I am still learning these cars. But I can say it's been years since I had a car with a warranty!

Jamesketchell, on any 997TT you really don't want/need to disable the PASM. The Damptronic kit drops in, plugs in and you get to use that button just the same. It's a great fit and works tremendously well. No you don't have 10 adjustments but you do have two "easy" ones....

I've had a few battles in the past. Things are improving in the UK when it comes to aftermarket changes but we are years behind the US when it comes to modding cars of this type.

Thanks a lot for this info, this answered the big question i had. I know this sounds dumb but from a resale perspective (bear in mind UK market is very different to the US) are these mods easy to return to stock or is it a one way route?

Shark, so there isn't 10 settings on each? That's what I thought you meant when you said one was on 4 and the other on 5 to start?

James, took a few iphone shots of the car just now. Not great, but you can kinda get an idea for the ride height I guess.

Hey David, no on yours there are 10 settings You don't have PASM... only the 997TTs, 997S, 997GT3 etc... have that system so for those cars it's best to do a Damptronic kit that plugs in and they get two settings Make sense?
