Why would someone want to wait for the refresh Turbo when the Turbo S will be right after that. Makes sense to either get the Turbo very early on & enjoy it the longest or wait & get the Turbo S but to wait for the refresh is kinda stupid (IMO of course)

Still speculation at this point on what changes will be made, if any, to the 3.6TT. If they do slap on DI then thats good news as clearly they plan on getting more mileage out of the GT1 based engine. A good thing.

What I dont see is Porsche dumping money at a quick DI job and then a whole new engine for the 998 or 991 whatever they call it. Rumors are out there of dumping the GT1 based engine.

The DFI will NOT be on the gt1, the tt will get the new improved/unproved m97 9a1 varient.

I'll guess that there is a bit of cost cutting/marketting aimed at the GTR rather than quality reatained on the Gt1 engine.

They can keep their measly 20Hp, wet sump because I have in the region of 220 more (700-480) and if the tuners can do it so could Porsche have done it .

If they keep the Gt2 unchanged it will speak volumes of the new Turbo engine choice.
