Lightweight Flywheel

I am considering putting in a lightweight flywheel as I need to upgrade my clutch. Has anyone had any experiences (bad/good) with lightweight flywheels in the 997TT (6-speed)? I have heard some rumblings about issues.

steve I honestly am not overly keen on the LWF in the TT's with their hydrualic assist. Depending upon the clutch combo you go with it can make for very difficult engagement in 1st gear since there's literally no "feel". If you ditch the hydraulic assist then the pedal does get stiff and feels more like an RS or GT2 but at least you can feel engagement more.

He is right, mine is difficult and has taken 1200 miles to get use to. Hard to launch. I choose to keep the hydraulics. You need to drive one before you pull the triger.

Thanks for the input. I definitely will try one before making the decision.

I have one in my Supra and I have sat in a 997 TT with one. They rattle at idle.

Big time rattle. It is the gears in the transmission that you here. It is worth it except when you are a a car show and everyone is looking at you car like it is a piece of s$it.

I asked about flywheel at sharkwerks and was told to avoid. Apparently really adds nothing but problems and noise.
