Rough Idling?

Every once in awhile while warming up, I get some weird behavior from the car. After being on for a while (before the RPM drops after warming up) the RPMs jump from about 700 to 1000 RPM back and fourth. I don't know if this is normal or not but would like to get some feedback and on what may be causing the problem. The car is currently in the 12k mile range.

The car is bone stock. I actually have some mods on the way but am debating if I should just take the car to the dealer now before I throw the mods on which I will most likely do.

I have the same issue with my car but never saw it as a problem, doesnt always happen just sometimes when car hasnt been used for a few days and i start up cold, goes away once it warms up abit (doesnt take more than a couple of mins).

I personally think its the normal programming for the car on cold startup or something, had the same thing on my Mini S, but if u feel your case is different than what im talking about it wont hurt to get things checked out.
