Anyone have experience with PCCB track pads?
Anyone have experience with PCCB track pads?
Apparently Porsche has special track pads that work with PCCBs, but they are quite adamant about them not being safe on the street.
Of course, official advice is to change pads in the paddock. However, the rear caliper design on the PCCBs makes that a job that is beyond my skill and patience.
I have run Pagid track pads on the street before (on other cars) and, apart from squeaks, I find them reasonably safe. Initial panic braking while cold is worse than stock, but still better than 90% of "normal" cars.
Anyone have any experience here? I am particularly wondering if the PCCB track pads are EVEN WORSE than Pagid pads while cold.

I use Porsche Motorsport Pads with my PCCB's on track & everyday use.
I don't find them an dangerous in street. Only problem is the noice while breaking lightly.....
Other minor detail is there is no wear indicators.
Brake Pads for use on race track use only
Characteristics:
Reduced pad wear at high operating temperatures
Higher tendency to squeal
Higher pedal forces required at low operating temps
Identification:
Green finish on all lateral pad surfaces
P/N of single pad
996.351.940.93 (F)
997.352.930.91 (R)
Jumper plug for brake pad wear indicator (964.612.026.70)
(Race pads have no provision for the wear indicator)
