My dealer also said to drive it like you stole it. However, I have had the RPM's up very high,And then I read the manual. The car actually has a fuel cut off to prevent over-rev, at about 8000. Anyone experience this? The engine is really DUMB DUMB proof or TEEN-AGER proof.

That is just your rev limiter in the red zone to protect your engine I think (although this is not my area of expertise). I am sure you will get a more technical response - but my understanding is it won't hurt the car and reacts to protect your engine accordingly.

Just ask a blond chic, we'll answer your automotive questions Now, shall we talk about mods you should be considering? Since you are in your break in period, this is a good time to do things like your radar/laser systems (I have the V-1 and the new Escort 9500ci), your Tookie and Dension units for bluetook and ipod integration. Those are all must haves. Next will be wheels, exhaust, suspension, and so on and so on and so on.....get out the checkbook!
