so Softronic makes more power in non-sport than sport mode? I guess this is good news for those without Sport Chrono

look at the graph, the sport mode makes way more torque and midrange power as the sport gives the car that "burst" of power. The very very top RPM is where it changes. Could be my car. But the sport still does produce more power.

The Sport mode on should have fallowed the same tracking on the Dyno sheet as it did up to 5500 or so rpm against the Non-sport run. The Torque and the HP dropped of at the exact same point and this is not possible given the same flash in non-sport did not. This was most likely from the car loosing traction from a loose or most likely stretched hold down. The HP with sport on should have been around 520.

This file typically sees 545 in HP and torque with 93 octane, elevation, octane, humidity, heat and exhaust all have a major factor in the final results.

Best,
Scott Slauson

I guess I am a little confused now. I have the fabspeed "quiet" exhaust and am in the process of determining which ecu flash I am going to get and I thought my fabspeed had 200 cell cats, am I wrong? I have never had any cel's so far. I have had it on for about 1k miles now. My car is an '08. I love the numbers you guys are showing but I don't want anything done as far as changing or deleting any sensor info. Please clarify my cats if anyone would like to chime in.

All of the fabspeed 997tt exhaust systems utilize HJS cats now. The cats that you have are a 200 cell tri-metallic cat, and you should have no problems with a CEL.

I have the same fsq system, 200 cell hjs cats, no CEL before or after my PES flash. Will be doing a dyno session shortly. Whatever flash you choose shouldn't trigger a CEL with those cats.
Jeremy, give me a ring so we can get this setup...

Chris,
Would you share your dyno numbers when you get them. Sounds like you have a similar setup to mine and the PES flash is one I am interested in as well. Also, Jeremy thanks for the info.

I sure will, good or bad! I'm shooting for the Friday after next if you can hold out!
I know MJS alo has the same setup, he put down 514 to the wheels.

As Softronic points out, could be a couple of factors. I was driving the car on the dyno and did not lose in traction. You can see the time stamps and the runs were back to back to back. Anyways, that is what we got, no funky messing with the dyno numbers or parasitic multipliers. The Mustang dyno does read lower then say a Dyno Jet or Dynapak. On a Dyno Jet this would read about 540 like Softronic says. Also we have our Smoothing set at 80 which pulls the numbers down a little. Car drives like a rocket on the street. Softronic proved themselves making great gains in the 996TT market and now we are showing the power in the 997TT.

As far as the Cats go... my wording was bad. The O2 is not shut off rather variables changed so you dont throw a cat inefficiency code. Softronic has the capability to do this, it is not required. That would be more directed to my JIC Cross exhaust.

I think Dan is right about softronic, as far as I know they don't shut anything off. Either way you can't lose!

Thanks for the support TTSurgeon. The Softronic flash in my 997TT worked amazing on the Gumball 3000 rally. From Thursday to Tuesday I put 2000 miles on the car. Climates from the hot weather of AZ, cool temps of San Fran, warm weather of So Cal, and more blistering heat in Las Vegas. The car pulled so strong. When you punched it in 4th gear you wanted to throwup from the torque. I waxed my buddies 996TT, a couple of Lambo's, and a R8. The Gumpert Apollo probably beat us because of how sexy it was!

Anyways we are still doing the Softronic flashes for 997TT customers and look forward to giving more customers that grin from ear to ear.

Thanks for the comments. If anyone would like to do the flash on their 997TT from the Southwest, we will give a special package deal on the exhaust, headers, and flash.

It is 110F degrees here, no plans on going to the drag strip. Never been much of a drag race kinda guy. When it cools down, will hit the strip to prove it though.
