Updating the 997TT with creature comforts

Hi all,

Having previously owned a 996TT and a 997C2, I'm looking at getting either a low milage 997TT or a brand new C2S. Normally this would be a no-brainer and I'd get the TT, but being a daily driver, I really value simple features like ipod/USB MP3 and BlueTooth. Previous aftermarket implentation of the ipod integration in my old 997C2 was slow and buggy. Has the situation changed and are there now better solutions available for the 997TT? A simple USB port mod to plug in a flash drive and have it display on the PCM would be ideal. Or do I have to settle for a facelift C2S to get these features.

Choice 1: Get a 07, 08 997TT and update the PCM with a Dension unit - you'll be able to interface an iPod, and add on BT. It works pretty well.

Choice 2: Get any 2009 997...they all have PCM 3.0 with all the bells and whistles.

I don't have the i pod or bluetooth pairing in my 997tt and if this is imperative then the 997S might be the route to go . The issue with technology in many of the German cars is that even in my M3 it lacks the sophistication found in Japanese cars . I buy the Porsche for other aspects and with low mileage 997tt whatever is lacking in gadgets is made up with the dry sump Gt1 engine .

Thanks for the replies - I'll investigate the Dension option
