Bose Sound System
Bose Sound System
I have a 07 Turbo.Did only one type of Bose sound system come with our car or was there a upgraded sound system you could order. It was my belief that there was one and only sound system that came with the Turbo and that was the Bose that came with the car.
you are correct.
Since it is an optical based system, my impression is to upgrade it, you would have to rip out that system and replace it with an alternate systen

That means the E92's sound system sounds better than the E46 HK system.
I find the new premium system (upgrade option) in the E92 M3 is terrific.

Audio upgrade instructions without changing out the Bose system:
1) Leave current system in place.
2) Turn off Bose.
3) Install headers and exhaust with 100-200 cell or better yet no cats
4) Open windows.
5) Start engine.
6) Plant right foot and listen to the high end sound*.
* For added auditory pleasure and a special soundtrack of "that giant sucking sound" install better diverter valves.

Bose Sound System, 2008 Stock in 997TT SUCKS !!
The standard system in my Supercharged Land Rover blows the system away in my 08 997TT. My personal opinion on the Porsche Bose system is it's weak at best. I've become frustrated with some of the stupid **** they over looked on a $160k car.
Maybe Porsche and BMW should look into Lexus's Mark Levinson system.
I can't agreed more with the ML system. It sounds better than most aftermarket systems sometimes.
