997 TT vs GTR

We had a track day a friend brought a new GTR and we made some laps with modified 997 TT,s.

GTR is very fast like a 997 tt with reprog, headers the GTR seams to be easy to control and 997TT is more nervous but in terms of performance they are similar (GTR was stock)

The horrible thing of the GTR is that after 4 laps OIL and WATER temps are in the redline and 997 TT can support 15 laps or more, now it seams that the GTR oil cooler is not big enough so it has to be changed after this maybe the car can do 3-4 extra laps.

So for me the winner is still Porsche the really good thing of GTR is the price compared to a 997 TT.

GTR will wake up the market and will raise the performance VS price.

Nice post, its good to have are real word experience with both cars first hand. Must have been a fun day at the track. I wouldn't trade my Porsche for a GTR even if was faster.

There will be those who will continue to praise the GTR, those who just sit in front of a PS3 with GT5 in it.
