Dealer Service vs. PShop Service

Would it be better to get an in-between inspection (oil change, oil filter, etc.) from the dealer or a shop?

If you were to get a reputable shop to do the work, it should save you a few bucks over the dealer. Many dealers won't do a simple oil and filter change, but rather insist on a complete inspection of brakes, tires and running gear, etc., which runs up the cost.

no reason why a good shop that works on porsches regularly couldn't do an oil change for you, and as the previous poster says, much cheaper. i have used one, and was never disappointed.
