if the economy suggests that customer racing programs will most likely be strongest in gt class, then i don't see how porsche could abandon the 911 concept. no way they make a mid engined car the flagship. what happens to the cup series around the world? the big money RSR teams? p2 class is dead so no need for v-configured engine now to conform to new prototype rules. privateer racers are a huge part of P car history. that draws in 911 fans which fuels the brand. NOT cayman, boxster, cayenne...
