Compared to the 996TT when it came out, $85K for an 07 997TT seems about right. 2001 was the first year for the 996TT. I bought my 01 996TT with 8K miles in May/03 for $85K. The seller was asking $90K but I bargained $5K off. 07 is the first year for the 997TT. We're now in early 2009 so $85K for an 07 doesn't seem much different than 996TT depreciation, considering the economic situation is much worse today than in 2003.

Let's rewind back to the 993tt . It was very successful . I paid 113K in 1998 (3 K over MSRP) , and the car was two years old.

Yep --it went UP in price .
So can the 997tt --if Porsche cuts production . At some point they usually do . With the 993 it was years 98,99, 00, and with the 996 it was model year 06 .

I can't guess the 997tt future price market . I bought it, drive it, enjoy it, keep it , savoring each mile and keeping them fairly low .

19 months on the car and 7200 miles . That's the best I can do.

i agree with all the previous points about supply/demand of 997tt-in 07, they made plenty, probably 2000. in 08, i think they made about 400 coupes. in 09, obviously less. as soon as the economy comes back a bit, i think that the 08 and 09 will be in hi demand for not so many cars.

997tt will depreciate exactly like what 996tt will. They are both produced in abundant, and not as special as GT3. Tiptronic will be hit worse when PDK in turbo comes out.

But this depreciation has nothing to do with the capability and desirability of the turbos. They are the supercar bargain right now.

The success of 993tt will not be reproduced unfortunately as all current turbos are too mass produced.

Lots of the 07s are come off of their 2 years leases and the market will be flooded. Great to ones with low mileage.

I would like to pick up one of these 07 off lease cars! I am loving these prices but again feel bad for everyone who paid sticker...

But as i posted in the other thread, its great for buyers right now and sucks for sellers, but hopefully on one end you are selling a car cheap and buying another one cheap.

Have you looked in the for sale section ? One ( a forum member) is posted for 89K near your region.
