What will be the next awesome color choice ?

I miss silver cars . I remember when there were so many silver cars that it was almost like they were everywhere .Not lately and I miss them. The 997tt in silver looks so amazing --like a spaceship in the sun.

Then the baton was passed to white . The Turbo in white was so beautiful that I didn't forget silver I just liked white too.

Then again .. I am married to black . Place a black 997tt in front of me and I get weak .

I can go on but what of these intriguiging colors . I see Cobalt Blue on any Porsche and the first thought that pops into my head is "Jason" . I think of all those pictures he took of that car .

Nowadays cobalt is aqua , white has a cream cousin, and silver has morphed more than the characters in Terminator 2 with every shade of grey popping in and out of production .

So what's the next hot color? I would like to see something like champagne of the 90's or even polar of the mid 90's .
I may not pick a color like amethyst or lime green but I'm open to hearing what colors you think may be next and which will come oit of production .

My guess and I get sad over it but I really like the color .. I think meteor will be replaced . Why? It's on the launch cars and it's been here awhile . I also think macadamia will vanish soon. Brown just never gained popularity .

Ideas ? Comments? Wish list?

I really like the orange on the GT3RS but I don't think it will ever have mass appeal.

Black, white, silver and gray are always going to be popular. Maybe blue or dark gray will be the next trend. Lava Gray offered by Porsche and by Audi both look pretty good on most cars so maybe some of the dark metallic grays will tip the scales to gray.

I only buy Black unless we are talking Ferrari, then I am open red, silver, blue, yellow. To me nothing looks better then a clean black car. Then again nothing looks worse then a dirty black car

anything blue will work for me...with black wheels on.

after 4 black cars in a row, I'll not do black for a while as I hate them when they're dirty.

I prefer white for the 997tt, I will most likely shoot for white, even though everyone and their mom is getting a white car.

But for trends, I think white should pick up as a popular trend for this car. I see that black is the most common then maybe silver.

Also I blieve the oranges/champange/greens/yellow are highly unlikely to become popular, due to lack of mass public demand.

pigeon549 is infamous around these parts
I never really liked white on cars, I always thought it was really boring, but I think the white bug has bitten me because now I think almost anything looks good in white I really like the macadamia color that porsche has and for a long time I wouldn't have ordered one in any other color, but I haven't seen it in person and I'm not so sure I would want it for everyday now. I hope meteor gray doesn't go away, I really like that one too.

I'm not sure which color is most popular in terms of production numbers . My guess would be white . I don't see many black 997tt's compared to the 996tt's which have more.

As for cleaning a black car --it's a labor of love for me.My cars are rarely dirty and I have three black cars . It is very common to see me washing them and i really like cleaning the cars .

The thing with colors is, there are ones you think are cool or interesting, and there are ones you would actually own when the chips are on the table. Most times that is because of resale of some of these unusual ones are not appealing to the masses and that is always in the back of your thoughts during the purchase. When I think 996 I think silver, with 997’s white is the new thing. I not sure but there are statistics about the production numbers in accordance with color. That would be interesting to see!
