HRE all the way! The champion and dymag may be light, but they are butt ugly IMO. I bet if the dymag was a heavy cast wheel no one would like it, but just because its light doesn't mean its nice looking...

Please, just learn all you can before you buy. The more you know about wheels the better it is for HRE. In the meantime, we'll figure out how to fix our marketing. We're clearly sending the wrong message.

I'd go p40s/43s or champion 171s. The hre's have improved a lot, esp the new monoblocs, they may have been junk a few yrs ago but now they are top notch.(and I've been a critic in the past)

That's the exact conclusion I came to during my investigations to for the best wheels for the Turbo.
Bare minimum you want:
1) The closest match to the OEM wheel dimensions
2) Ability to take the TPMS sensors
3) Light as possible without compromising on strength

The AMT Tech1-110s are also a good choice for this application.

The OZ Ultraleggera HLT is also a worthy consideration.
Although it is a cast wheel, it is very lightweight. In fact, it weighs the same as the forged HRE P40 and P43, despite the fact that the A356 alloy used by OZ has far less tensile strength than 6061/T6.
Compliments to OZ for a nice bit of engineering.

How is it that the cast Porsche 997 wheels from OZ are as light as the forged 997 wheels from HRE?
If they are both load rated for the same vehicle and both TUV approved, why would you pay more for the forged wheels? What would be the advantage?
It would seem to me that the forged wheels should weigh a lot less, unless OZ just knows more about engineering lightweight wheels.
