Unhappy Lost a great car to someone in the Chicago area

I've been snooping around for a particular Turbo for a long while, & just when I find the one I want it gets snapped up before I get a chance to go to the bank!!

I've been trying to find a midnight blue or atlas grey metallic 997 turbo with a tiptronic & low mileage. So I find this one down in Baton Rouge (2007 with < 2000 miles)& a nice array of options that's basically just perfect (as far as I'm concerned). Since the economy has slowed down, I'm not doing any impulse shopping & figure I'll just call & check on the car after a busy week at work. So I call the private seller & he tells me that the car went right away in the autotrader.

Now, I'm all bummed out & would happily pay the guy "lucky dude" in Chicago that found this hard to find car. Midnight blue appears fairly often in manual, but I need a tip, so I'm hoping someone knows where to find what I'm after.

Just want to find a car like that one.

It's too bad you need a Tip . I was the local dealership today and saw a gorgeous Atlas Turbo Cab in manual driving into the new car showroom . I think its an 08 . They have others too but that's the one that I found beautiful.

I can relate with color choice in the cab . It looked so stunning.

Atlas grey is awesome

Thanks for the info!

Atlas grey is awesome & if the car was a coupe, then I would seriously consider it, even with the manual.

The turbo just has so much power & a manual is "tempting" but with everyday driving I need a "subdued"

I'll keep looking!

Illinicane is infamous around these parts
Hang in there! Times are tough, and I can't help but sense there will be more for sale. Wish it wasn't so, but everyday the news gets worse, and people give up their luxury items or toys to make ends meet.

A friend told me last night while I was changing the oil on his turbo that Porsche is increasing their prices ~ 15%. I think this is in Canada & not sure if it's the US as well, but the economy isn't great here either. Not only do I want a nice pre-owned vehicle, I'm wanting to stick with the GT1 engine.

No worries. Times are different now, so just take your time searching. There's more cars available now than ever. Good luck!
