Having problems with my stealership -Vancouver BC
And on another note when they sent me on my way tried to get me to sign a waiver that the suspension was not fit to drive because the new suspension mods I had in were not aligned.
I wouldnt doubt if they loosened up the cars suspension even more hoping I would crash on my way to the other alignment shop

I suppose at this point it's a matter of getting money back and as Got Boost said that dealership administration is who can make it happen .
Bummer
It sounds like the frustration is as much of a problem as the extra costs. Bummer for sure. I'd suggest just paying the bill and chalking it up to a learning experience. I would suspect if you try to rattle their cage to save some $ you will just be adding another long and frustrating experience to the already difficult situation. Been there myself. Just drive your car and move on (no disrespect intended).
Dealerships and local tuners are two different beasts. I use my local tuner for almost everything and use the P-dealer when necessary. I always ask labour time and charges and the P-dealer is usually about $130 an hour (and they charge you for everything - it's the way they do things) with the tuner considerably lower. They have lower overhead and a different business philosophy. There must be some great tuners in Vancouver - if not drive up to Calgary. Or maybe a road trip to the US is in order?
Good luck and hope all this is past you soon. Just drive, and then drive some more.

I'm sorry to hear about the crap you went through....generally the dealerships are fair...too expensive...but fair... I also live in a town with only 1 Porsche dealership which sucks, because they often are very arrigant and know you can't go somewhere else...
but i disagree with the previous thread regarding complaining to Porsche North America. Porsche dealership have to answer to their corporate HQ and if enough problems arise, they could lose their ability to sell that brand. I've owned several porsche's (from different dealerships/states) and the dealership is very concerned about the high reports/scores you give them. JD Power and assoc. and/or other companies seem to always call after buying a car AND also call me often after service issues.
The comment you made regarding "not wanting another Porsche from this experience" is something I'm sure PNA would not want to hear.. they usually are very customer oriented and yes..they could step in and make decisions on behalf of the dealership if and when neccessary.
I also agree with the earlier thread about paying with credit card then disputing the payment. Preferably American Express I find is very good about that... in fact they will deduct the amount you paid immediately from your bill until its resolved one way or another.
Good luck!!

So sorry to hear about your predicament. You can follow some of the good suggestions about what to do if you want to contest it but it all comes down to contract law, verbal or written. Since yours was a verbal one, it will be difficult to win since the dealership is not charging you overtime in labor but simply applying their standard labor rates. So it will be a s/he said situation but will favor the dealer's side since why would the dealer work on a car at $50 less/hour when he could work on another one for his usual price. If you don't have an estimate in writting, then you may just have to chalk it up to experience.
I'm tired of thinking about this stupid ordeal...its not the money its the fact that there a bunch of thieves. They proboly think of "hes got a porsche lets rip him off for a few more hundred" I get real annoyed at that concept.
Anyways this is not worth my time or energy. Thanks for all the suggestions as always I like the information on these forums.

Is that $80 Canadian dollars ? If so that's quite low .
I think the issue is that you were promised A and got B .
It hinges on the concepts of fairness .
But life is never fair and we are usually taught in childhood these concepts by adults who already know what its like to be screwed . To instill hope . It's not reality .
Price wise you are within respectable figures .
This is the way I see it -- 130 -80 = 50
50X 13= 650 .
You are 650 in the red . You could discuss it with them and maybe come to an agreement but if stalemated --
How much do you cherish your car ?
I ask this because in life I feel its best to pick and choose yoir battles and this one is not big enough to make it worth the fight . You will need thse guys in the future .
Use this price error to benefit you . Pay it , let them know that in the future you would prefer a more clear and open line of communication. That's diplomacy .
Good luck.

The car has so much enjoyment to offer.
Do not let situations like this get the better of you.
The way I look at it: The car is priced at >100k.
People will definitely try to take advantage of the fact that you own such an exclusive car.
No matter what you do, you probably will not get the $650 back.
But, $650?... I personally would express my dissatisfaction in a very diplomatic way (as per yrralis) walk away and start enjoying my wonderful beast!!! You have no time to lose.
thanks for the post... It helps us prepare for situations like this.
Dude! I hear where you coming from that just because you drive a porsche means it's okay for you to pay more. Not the case. I work two jobs and bust my *** off saving whereever I can to buy my porsche that they think I'm a rich kid with wealthy parents. I hate that stereotype and when I go to a dealership like MCL, that's exactly how they make me feel. They are all about money and buisness not about customer service.
Thing is I didnt even sign a work order.
BTW Scan is doing a good job on my car so far and actually sound like they know what they are talking about.
