Check Engine Light
I spoke to Marc last night regarding you and your car. You should reach out to him when you get a moment.
Hey Guys, I just recently got my 997 Turbo and after 500 or so miles I installed an FVD exhaust system with cats, it ran fine the first two weeks, but I just got a check engine light today.
Would the exhaust system be the cause of this or should I actually get my car checked out?
If the exhaust is the problem, what is the solution? I was also thinking about reprogramming the ecu, would this solve the issue?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

No worries!
Ho worries. This is a topic with lots of helpful info that can be found with a search on this Forum. I and many others have been in your shoes and it is most likely a very minor issue. When you change your exhaust you can easily confuse your ECU re your (before and after) O2 sensors. You can read the code easily if you invest in a hand held code reader-clearer ($100) or have your shop do it (they should do it gratis) so you see exactly where the problem lies so you can find the best solution. For me, I just added bung extensions (inexpensive) to reduce the too-rich too-lean air-gas ECU confusion. However, if you are getting new intercoolers (AWE ones are excellent) or getting an ECU flash you might want to wait but if not just check out the codes and O2 sensors. The O2 sensors are very sensitive. If this isn't the problem I have other (old and well known) ideas but they too are easy fixes.
You'll soon have this resolved and get back to enjoying your P-car. Still, I know the engine sign lite up is distracting and annoying. Mike at AWE will be a good resource to help you solve this asap.
And I didn't even raise the issue of warranty re new exhaust!

I do not have any programming at the moment. I was asking just what the gains would be with your ecu and headers? Also would it clear the check engine light issue I have (I am pretty sure its from the O2 sensors).
