Preseason dyno

So I had the guys at FarnbacherLoles get my car setup for the DE season, had fresh cups mounted, alignment, brakes flushed and a baseline dyno. Note FL does not have a dog in this fight, in fact they have their own flash, exhaust, etc.
My car has tubi exhaust, fabspeed headers and a PES flash. A stock 997tt puts down 386 on a mustang awd dyno, mine laid down btwn 466-476hp to all 4 wheels and about as much tq, that's about 550-580 at da crank!. The curve looks pretty good, I'll try and post it tomorrow.
can't say enough about FL, they are a top notch tier 1 shop, treat you like a king while you're there, the place is freaking spotless. If anybody is thinking about taking your car someplace on the east coast consider farnbacherloles, their prices are extremely reasonable too.

Can anyone please explain why there is so much variability in the stock 997TT dynos. I've seen anything from 380-430 stock. I know there are differences in runs based on environmental factors, but 50 whp?

nyamg 03-26-2009 09:26 PM

chris, nice numbers....FL seems to be a good place to go to on the east coast, hope to take my TT there soon...

TT Surgeon 03-26-2009 09:28 PM

I can't explain it, but all the mustangs seem to read about the same, in the stock 997tt's that they have dyno'd at FL, they all run about 375-390 which is about a 20% drivetrain loss from the crank 480.

I wouldn't go anywhere else, they really are world class. Call and ask for Kip harris, he'll hook you up.

When my car has 200cell exhaust and header plus a IPD and BMC filter. No ecu flash.I got 433awhp on a mustang. So the IPD seems a worthly part to get.

Here is a crappy scan of one of the dyno sheets, it's all yellow bc the printer was out of ink, I'll post a better one later.
