What's the point of racing a EVO? They are great cars that could be modified to be monsters, but what good could possibly come out of it? The EVO has everyting to gain and you have everything to lose.
If we wins, he gets to brag that he killed a tt. If you win, are you going to be bragging that you smoked an EVO? Probably not.
Either way, if the EVO has a built motor and a bigger turbo, you have no chance unless you are above 150 mph.

I let them go by me all day long. On top of the above, how much do they write off if they wreck it?
I have one friend that owns several high end cars, but only tracks an Evo with about 500hp. He loves it and for what they are you can't beat em.
why bother comparing modded cars? heavily modified tt smokes a lot of cars that cost 2x or 3x more, but that doesn't make me brag to them that i beat them. they could just say they don't care and i suppose that would be the end of that.
btw evo is one UGLY machine. i can just imagine the snickering now.

My friend had a Crawford STI making 700HP. He spent $50K on the motor and trans alone. I wouldn't own it myself but know everything about the car you are racing.
Confused though, 300km. Wouldn't that take you form one side of the island to the other?

Nothing like having a 180HP formula car whip up on everyone.
The Evo is not a GTR. NOt once have I heard an owner of an Evo say his car will kill a Porsche, different animals. Mitsu built one hell of a car with the EVO and you can not beat it at its price point. Lets not confuse what Nissan and the GTR did with all other Japanese budget cars. There is room in this market for the budget performance car, you just shouldn't compare it to anything else other then another budget performance car.
We have 3 solid categories now:
1. Supercar
2. Hypercar
3. Budget performance
All of our modded TT's are hypercars IMO.

love your enthusiasm but i gotta think a zonda or enzo owner might disagree that we're pedaling "hypercars" around town. indeed some guys at my golf club snicker when they see my modded tt cause it looks a bit boy racer! maybe we have a touch of fast and furious in our blood too?

Hypercars are highly modded, high end sports cars. Different breed, different utilization, and probably no resale value. If you see a Zonda around town, and the guy mods it, just do him the favor and take his keys!
I found him in the road today and we tried a go from traffic lights, first gear he got a jump 2 cars, second his gearbox fail, as i have understood those cars modded are like time bombs.
They get a lot of power easily but they brake down even more, Another thing is that we run our cars on full boost all day long where they increase boost for a race only.
If i had one of those sh#$ i would brake it down the first day i drive it.
Even if he underestimated my car with his words i felt sorry for him, he got very embarrassed

To beat almost everything -- you have to spend more money .
Evos and Civics can be pumped up for a drag race. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KBWK-oNACyM
On a 40 MPH roll --you'll take him .
Jump to 700 and he's toast . He won't even get you on that 1st gear jump.
