Someone commented that it can be checked from the computer if the car has been taken to the redline. Can someone specify and tell how it can be done?

What else can be seen from the computer that is worth checking when buying 997TT?

the data you are looking for is in the ECU...you'll need PIWIS (which a dealer could do as a pre purchase inspection) or something like:

I'd be more worried about it if shes not seen the redline once or twice
Overrevs however might be worth a looksee.
