Windshield Repair Help

Got hit by something on the freeway the other day and picked up a nickel sized spider web chip on the outer glass. Is there anyone in Socal that can repair this chip to almost total invisibility?

that happened to one of my vehicles 2 wks ago. Found a guy on craiglist who does windshield repair. Mine was about the size of a dime. It cracked only the first layer of glass. He fixed it in 30mins for $60. I can hardly see it now. His rule is if the crack can be covered by a quarter, it's fixable. Anything bigger may need a total windshield replacement. Good luck.

Try All Star Glass Company. Look them up on the web/Google. They do a mobile service and are excellent. They also have several shops in different LA and Orange County areas. Their OC number is 949-855-3707. I'm sure they can refer you to a shop close to your home. Used them on my wife's Mercedes and my 993 Carrera. Can't even tell

I ended up using All Star last month as they were recommended by my insurance company. Since I only had them repair (instead of replace the entire windshield), there was no deductible applied. The repair didn't eliminate the entire chip as mine was pretty big but at least it is now something I can live with.
