Tiptronic oil leak

About a month ago i took my car to the workshop for some upgrades, there they saw that my car looses oil from somewhere. I also noticed some oil stains in my garage. After removing the plastic covers under the car we found out that the leak comes from the Tiptronic gearbox. We checked for a seal replacement between the gearbox and the transferbox but that seal has no part number. We then took some photos and send them to Porsche where they said we need to change the gearbox. Fortunately my car is still under warranty so i wont pay for it. I still feel disampointed since my car never so a track before, and i almost never brake launch it.

do you think this was maybe caused by your TCU? or if it maybe had a role in this?
i'm glad it is covered by warranty

Nothing to do with the TCU. This had happened before any modds were done. I saw the oil in the garage but i thought its normal but after we discovered that it was from the gearbox.

The TCU actually helps the car to shift gears with less stress

It's rare to see issues on these that's for sure so keep us posted. After all the abuse my old 996TT (the tip one) got it did finally develop a leak from one of the A/N fittings on the line going to the cooler. Hopefully it's something simple like that...
